We've Come This Far By Faith

On September 25, 2010 at 3:30 PM, Rev Rosalind Brathwaite was the guest speaker at First Reform Church of Astoria. This was the 38th year of Women Day Celebration. Pamela White, the president of the Women group of the church, welcomed everyone. Rosa Robinson gave the introduction to the guest speaker who was none other than our own Rev. Brathwaite.

The women all were dressed in white and wore blue scarves. Guest were able to purchase their own scarves as well. Rev. Dwayne Jackson, Pastor of the First Reform, gave the benediction and also stated how women are important in the work of the church.

No matter what the theme: Walking In Faith, Walking In The Light of God, We've Come This Faith-By God's Grace, or This Far By Faith (Women Walking Together in Faith), the message was loud and clear: Women walk and don't take small steps when it comes to their Faith.

Spread the word about Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church

One of the best ways to help support Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church is to spread the word.

On the home page of the Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church, at the bottom, are icons to share the church and school website with Google Buzz, Facebook and Twitter. It's easy enough to share the website by email, too. That function is built into every web browser.

In the AELC Weblog, below every post, there's a row of icons: email, Blogger, Twitter, Facebook and Google Buzz.

In the AELC Photo Albums there's share icons, too. You can share the pictures by email, Google Buzz, Blogger and Twitter. You can also download pictures and order prints (and all sorts of things).

You can share the AELC Calendar, too. These functions are built into the website. You can share the information in any other way you'd like, as well. The point is to spread the word.

Of course, if you have anything you'd like to share with the Augustana please send it in. You can use your email program or the form on the Contact AELC page.

If you have a website, a weblog, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, or any other site of your own, please consider adding an Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church link. It all helps to get the message out.
